Description
This château of Gerard Perse, owner of Chateau Pavie, is located in Saint Emilion, where white wine is not normally made. With this cuvée, Mr. Perse has proven that a great white wine can indeed be made in this region. The terroir is also extremely suitable for it, and consists mainly of graves. It is a small plot of 1ha that produces this high-quality, rare but beautiful wine.
The Monbousquet 2019 Blanc consists of 66% Sauvignon Blanc, 33% Sauvignon Gris. It is (again) a beautiful white wine with dried pear, lemon and a hint of mango. Full of flavor and slightly tannic with a creamy texture and a flavorful finish. Fruit-driven and clean with a beautiful acidity and with mineral/chalky elements and has a long, savory finish.

A pretty white with dried pear, lemon and some mango. Full-bodied and lightly tannic with a creamy texture and a flavorful finish. More fruit-forward and clean. Nice acidity for the vintage. 2/3 sauvignon blanc and 1/3 sauvignon gris. Drink or hold.
