Aloers' was the name given in the Middle Ages to farmers who owned the land they farmed. They were free from any obligation to pay rent or provide services. Celler de Credo by Recaredo Aloers is made with grapes from a unique vineyard in the interior of Alt Penedès, grown according to the principles of organic farming. The vines are 50 years old and the vine training method is based on the shape of the bush. Aloers offers the freshest, most authentic expression of the Mediterranean Xarel·lo, grown on calcareous soils. The Celler Credo team wants to ensure a wine with great vibrancy that can age for a long time. All Celler Credo grapes are harvested by hand to ensure an accurate selection of the fruit and to guarantee the excellent quality. Furthermore, we pay great attention to the maturation of the grapes with the aim of producing wines with natural, fresh acids with the intention of achieving an expressive and balanced wine.

Aloes is made by letting the must macerate for a few hours together with the grape stems and skins. Celler Credo wines always ferment on native yeast isolated from their vineyards, an essential element for producing true terroir wines. To give the wine structure and finesse, the lees are stirred for about a month. After that, the wine remains 6 months in stainless steel tanks on the fine lees (sur lie). The Celler Credo Aloers tries to express the terroir as fully as possible and can have completely natural sediments due to the minimal intervention. This Vin Naturale wine is vinified and bottled at Recaredo - the owner of Celler Credo.

The Aloers has a beautiful very light straw yellow color with some smoky/yeasty notes and the wine feels very pure and fresh, which reflects the overall Celler Credo style. It shows the pure Xarello with a controlled alcohol content (12%), persistent acidity and low pH, something they learned from their experience with their sparkling (Recaredo) wines. In the nose aromas of fennel, pear, apricot and wild herbs. The Aloes is flawless with a fine bitterness and good acidity. A minimum of sulfur is also used for this wine and a maximum of 13,000 bottles are produced of this fantastic wine.

A project of Recaredo, for which a few plots have been purchased for the production of these vin naturel wines. The aim is to make a pure expression of the Xarel.lo by using different maturation and fermentation methods. A special pure style wine, great for wine/food combinations!

The following facts testify that serious effort is being made to make this great wine extremely sustainable

  • Only 12% alcohol - so fitting in the modern style of good wine with less alcohol
  • Sulphite only 44 mg/l (150 mg/l is allowed by the EU for organic/organic white wines)
  • Residual sugar only 0.5 g/l
  • Vegan wines therefore not cleared with animal proteins

Recaredo Corpinnat is without doubt a reference for long-aged cavas and, together with Mestres and Gramona, is considered the Grandcru and the top of the cavas. Recaredo also has a silent white wine project and these wines are made under the Celler Credo name. Celler Credo or 'free-of-mind' label from Recaredo. With these still white wines, the Recaredo team discovers what is possible with Xarel.lo from different teroirs and vinification methods.

Impeccable Vins Natural! Recaredo has acquired a number of (very) special vineyards in the Penedès region for the production of refined natural wines. The aim is a pure expression of Xarel.lo where different fermentation methods and maturation processes are used. The wines are made by the well-known winemakers Nuria Arteaga and Ton Mata and they know exactly how to strike the right chord and make particularly pure and energetic wines from Xarel.lo, whereby the wines, as also with the Cavas from Recaredo, have become benchmark wines for ' nature' style Xarel.lo in the Penedès. Aged on the lees, macerated with the skin or stems of the grape, without the addition of sulphites – modern techniques or techniques learned from our grandparents... In short, a thousand and one ways to interpret Xarel-lo. In other words, Xarel-lo is the Credo.
