Description
Acrobat wines are made in Oregon, the state famous for its high-quality Pinot Noirs. Acrobat owns vineyards in several parts of Oregon, including Willamette Valley, Umpqua Valley, and Rogue Valley. The Acrobat Pinot Noir comes from several vineyards in the hills and valleys of western Oregon. The Pinot Noir grapes are destemmed and then cold soaked. The juice then ferments in stainless steel tanks, whereby 'the hat' (the grape skins floating on top) is occasionally pushed down and the wine is also pumped over. The wine is then aged for 8 months in French oak barrels, 25% of which are new.
In the glass, the Acrobat Pinot Noir is ruby red with aromatic notes of raspberries and cherries, but also chocolate and forest floor in the nose. In the mouth, this Oregon Pinot Noir is deliciously juicy and very fruity. In addition to red fruit, soft tannins, freshness and earthy, spicy notes. Delicious with toast with mushrooms.
FACT: Acrobat is owned by the renowned Foley Wines, which also owns Sebastiani in California.

Wine Enthusiast: 90/100
"This Pinot is fragrant and spicy, with ripe berry fruit. There's an earthy stiffness that comes up with the tannins. That said, the balance overall works and the wine, though chewy, will knock it out of the park with salmon." - Wine Enthusiast
