Jamieson Ranch Vineyards in Nappa Valley (USA) is more than just a producer of great wines. Their "Light Horse" label is a metaphor for a unique program at the winery that provides animal-assisted therapy for wine lovers, war veterans and children with disabilities. So making great wines and being involved in the community go hand in hand.

This Californian Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon (89%), Malbec (9%) and Merlot (2%). The wine has matured for 6 months in 20% French oak barrels and then another year in steel to obtain an elegant, fresh and smooth version instead of the many Californian blockbusters. In the nose we smell earthy scents of pine and morning dew, floral aromas of jasmine and magnolia. In the mouth mainly flavors of blueberry and raspberry, medium-body, rich with lush, velvety tannins.

The fruity character and smooth tannins make this wine particularly suitable in combination with pasta with wild mushrooms, chicken masala, double-cooked pork or rack of lamb.

Jamieson Ranch Vineyards founded the Light Horse Foundation. The foundation is committed to people with disabilities, especially those with autism, and supporting other major humanitarian disabilities. A portion of the profits from Jamieson Ranch Vineyards supports the Light Horse Foundation. Jamieson Ranch Vineyards (founded in 2013) is Napa Vally's southernmost winery, one of the world's major wine regions. The 300 acres of the estate are perched on gently rolling hills, and on the terraced vineyards, the grapes benefit from the cool morning mist and the breezes of nearby San Pablo Bay, climatic conditions that only benefit the production of exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
