The Graham Beck Brut Blanc de Blancs is made from 100% Chardonnay. This delicious and versatile South African "Champagne" combines rich, creamy aromas with hints of fresh lime fruit on the nose. On the palate, you can expect an exciting, fine mousse with an explosion of fruit. The Blanc de Blancs has a beautiful bouquet of lemon, hints of white peach, and apple blossom that is very well-defined and seductive. On the palate, the wine has subtle hints of dried mango and Golden Delicious. The palate is crisp and tight with a sobriety you would expect from a good Blanc de Blancs.
This exceptional sparkling wine is made predominantly from Pinot Noir and a smaller proportion of Chardonnay grapes. What makes this wine special is that no liqueur d'expedition (a mixture of sugar and wine) has been added. This results in a wine in its purest form. Both grape varieties were harvested on the same day and subsequently pressed together in proportion. The Méthode Cap Classique was used to produce this sparkling wine. The juice was obtained by pressing the whole bunches, after which the best juice was selected for this wine. After the clear juice has rested for 2 days, it is placed in stainless steel tanks, where fermentation takes place at a temperature of 15°C. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle, after which the wine rests on its lees for 60 months.
The Graham Beck MCC Brut Vintage Ultra Brut has a golden peach colour in the glass. The lively bouquet features aromas of cherries, blueberries, almond, and spices. A delicate yet complex palate with abundant flavours of redcurrant, yellow stone fruit, and hints of brioche. The wine has a beautiful balance and a long, salty finish. The Pinot Noir provides aromas of red fruit and terroir, while the Chardonnay gives the wine its warm notes of yellow fruit.
