2020 Château Canon Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé Magnum

The Canon 2020 is the best since the benchmark 2015/2016 vintages. Fantastic aromas of fragrant black cherry, blueberry, oyster shell and crushed rock aromas. It is cool, calm and collected and superbly balanced. Everything is right. This brilliant Canon should give you 30 years of drinking pleasure, probably more. No wonder Parker has given it the maximum score of 100/100.

This 34ha cru belongs to the Wertheimer family, just like Ch Rauzan Ségla in Margaux. This family also owns the fashion house Chanel. Currently it is director John Kolosa and the young cellar master Stéphane Bonnasse who improve the quality year after year. In 2011 the property was expanded by 12.5ha thanks to the purchase of the neighbor Ch Matras, this vineyard was integrated into the second wine "Clos Canon". The terroir of Ch Canon is located at the very top of St Emilion on the limestone plateau and produces a concentrated but elegant, delicious wine that is at the level of the greatest St Emilions in terms of quality! Organic products are used here to treat diseases, but without certification at the moment.
