Description
The 2017 Lassegue has a deep ruby red color with purple tinges and a quite spicy nose, with notes of black pepper, cinnamon and cloves disappearing above a core of crème de cassis and preserved plums with a hint of dusty earth. The palate is medium to full with a firm frame of chewy tannins and tons of black fruit layers, with a long and spicy finish. The 2017 vintage is a blend of 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon

Vineyards
The vineyards of Château Lassègue cover approximately 24 hectares and are ideally located on the slopes of the Côte de Saint-Émilion. The vineyards are planted with traditional Bordeaux grape varieties:
- Merlot (about 60%)
- Cabernet Franc (about 35%)
- Cabernet Sauvignon (about 5%)
The vineyards benefit from an excellent terroir, consisting of clay-limestone soils that ensure good drainage and favorable ripening of the grapes. This terroir contributes to the complexity, minerality and structure of the wines.
