Description
The Lassegue has a beautiful ruby red color with aromas of plums, wild berries, pencil shavings and dark chocolate on the nose. Medium to full-bodied on the palate with lively, powdery tannins, bright acidity and an elegant profile. Give this wine a few more years of aging and you will be rewarded. Like many wines from 2021, it is exceptionally fragrant, elegant and already quite drinkable.

Vineyards
The vineyards of Château Lassègue cover approximately 24 hectares and are ideally situated on the slopes of the Côte de Saint-Émilion. The vineyards are planted with traditional Bordeaux grape varieties:
- Merlot (about 60%)

A wine with pureness and finesse, showing wonderful length and brightness. Dark berries, cherries and dried citrus. It's long and lively. Orange peel and other citrus notes at the end. Lots of minerality.

From: 2+2=5: Bordeaux 2021 In Bottle (Feb 2024)
The 2021 Lassègue has a high-toned bouquet with black cherries, bergamot and light Earl Grey scents. The oak here is present but well-integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with sapid black fruit laced with white pepper and graphite. Quite harmonious, this is a sleek Saint-Émilion with finely pitched acidity, a delineated finish and sufficient sapidity to drag you back—a sterling effort.
