Description
The vineyards for this wine are located at 350m above sea level, on a southern slope. The vines are 15-45 years old. The harvest of the Sangiovese grapes takes place in the first days of October. This "Riserva" is made only with the very best harvests and after a careful selection of the best grapes. The wine is visibly clear, brilliant, an intense ruby red color, with reflections of garnet. In the nose the wine is Intense, full and ethereal, revealing the aromas of herbs, forest floor, small red fruit and rich perfumed roses.wine. A beautiful concentrated Brunello with a lot of elegance, a good acidity as a backbone. Rich in its fruit but with a beautiful spicy undertone. Incredibly complex and with a long aftertaste. A real pleasure to drink! This Riserva is only made in the top years. The 2015 is the successor of the 2012
Uncork the bottle at least 2 to 3 hours before serving. It is recommended to decant this wine, so that the wine is well aerated. Drink the Riserva with red meat, game, mushroom and truffle dishes. Also delicious with old cheeses, such as Parmigiano Reggiano and Tuscan Pecorino. An excellent wine for meditation.
FACT: The wine is in our conditioned Wine Warehouse and if you come to pick up the wine you will also receive a nice discount. You will see your discount immediately when you choose Pick up in Checkout page. We are almost next to the Rijksweg with plenty of parking. Click here for our address.

These two wines from Fattoi are both distinguished by the intensity and the saturation of their appearance and aromas. The 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (with only 5,000 bottles ready to go to market in March 2021) is a dark expression with perfumes of prune, plum, black cassis and blackberry. These aromas are presented with greater intensity in a warm and sunny vintage like 2015, but you also get some of the tannic highness and austerity of a wine that has been aged for so long. Winemaking is executed in a very traditional manner with bold and simple lines.

A fine-tannined red with plum, berry and orange-peel aromas and flavors. Medium body and creamy, fine tannins. Very drinkable now, but better in 2022.
