Description
Château Doisy Védrines is located in the French town of Barsac, a commune in the Gironde department in the Graves region. Château Doisy Védrines is a beautiful domain in the Sauternes. The terroir consists of clay with cobalt and pebbles. The château has planted 25 hectares of vineyard with Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle and produces exclusively white wines. The vines are on average about 40 years old. The grapes are picked manually and strictly selected. The winemaker uses a very long fermentation without additives. The wine is certified organic and is aged in French oak barrels for at least 6 years.
Château Doisy-Védrines has created collection boxes with older vintages from Barsac (Sauternes, Bordeaux). Only 50 of this exclusive box were made and fortunately we can offer 1 of them. It contains 6 bottles with the years 1975, 1983, 1986, 1988, 1989 and 1990. Some of these wines have received high scores from Robert Parker. These wines have been stored in the cellars of Château Doisy-Védrines for years and were offered on the market last year. They have been perfectly preserved and are in good condition, which is special with these types of old wines. “Unfortunately, the tiny production of sweet Doisy-Vedrines prevents many wine enthusiasts from ever discovering how good this wine can be.” Robert Parker
