Fiano Minutolo

The Fiano Minutolo has been growing in Puglia since the thirteenth century. It was long thought to be a variation of the Fiano we know from Avellino, which is why it was called the Fiano Aromatico and the Fianello. More recently, he was given the designation Fiano Minutolo. Like many other indigenous breeds, the Minutolo was threatened with extinction. However, in 2000, a program was launched by far-sighted producers and oenologists in the vineyards of the Valle d'Itria, ushering in a revival of the Fiano Minutolo.
