The Phoenix collection from Sophienwald® consists of an extensive series of specially designed glasses in which the very best wines are optimally displayed. Completely handmade, feather light and ideal for intensive use, for demanding wine lovers. In this range you will also find a glass for beers, dessert wines and spirits. The Phoenix Bordeaux glass has a height of 22.8 cm and a capacity of 570 ml, making it ideal for the more typical Bordeaux wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, but also for the Italian Sangiovese or Spanish Tempranillo.

The slightly higher cup provides more distance between the wine and the nose, allowing the nose to reach deeper into the glass without feeling too much evaporation of the alcohol. The smaller opening, compared to the other red wine glass, allows less air contact, so the aromas, acidity and tannins do not develop quickly. This provides a more intense aroma and the slightly smaller opening brings the wine deeper into the mouth for a more balanced taste experience. Ideal for medium-bodied wines, white and red wines, this is also the glass from the Phoenix series, which is universal and recommended if you choose to use one nice set of glasses.

• Care instructions: To ensure that you enjoy your Sophienwald glasses for a long time, always use a "gentle" wash program (delicate program) with a maximum water temperature of 50ºC when washing dishes in the dishwasher. Also make sure that you use an economical dose of liquid detergent. Always place glasses with the opening downwards in the basket and do not clean them together with very dirty dishes.
