Vermentino

Vermentino is a native white Italian grape variety, which is mainly planted in large quantities in Sardinia and is known there under the name Pigato, but also in Corsica and in the northern province of Piedmont (there under the name Favorita) and even increasingly in Languedoc-Roussillon in France. As the grapes mature, they increasingly take on the orange/yellow color of amber. The vines are often planted on slopes facing the sea in order to benefit from the reflections of light on the water.
