Description
With the desire to create a range of complex, sophisticated and above all delicious non-alcoholic drinks, Abstinence has taken inspiration from the Cape Fynbos Floral Kingdom. This is a biodiverse region in the Western Cape of South Africa. Although it may be the smallest biological kingdom, it is one of the most diverse in the world. The Western Cape is also one of the world's largest exporters of citrus fruits, so in their Cape Citrus edition, Abstinence has drawn on the diverse bounty of both the floral kingdom and distinct citrus flavours. The flavors come entirely from the botanical ingredients and contain no added sugars, sweeteners or flavors. Everything is natural, and from the Cape.
The Abstinence Cape Citrus is a great alternative to Gin. The combination of citrus fruits and botanicals, some of which can only be found in the Cape. Taste lime, grapefruit, pepper, ginger, buchu and fennel. Pour 50 ml Cape Citrus into an ice-filled glass, add 200 ml premium tonic and garnish with a slice of grapefruit and a sprig of rosemary for a delicious Cape Citrus & Tonic.
Awards:
UK Spirits Business Low and No Masters 2021: GOLD.
San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2021: BRONZE.
Botanicals:
Allspice, Cassia, Cardamom, Coriander, Clove, Orange Peel, Honeybush.
There is a rising demand for non-alcoholic drinks. About 15% of the Dutch population does not drink alcohol and a much larger group would like to cut down. Younger, but also older consumers strive for a healthy lifestyle; conscious living and conscious consumption. Consumers like to combine the useful with the pleasant. The increasing number of eating and drinking moments means that more people prefer to drink alcohol-free from time to time.
