“Oud Dordt” is a beautiful cheese that is linked to the region. The cheese is made at the dairy factory “De Graafstroom” in Bleskensgraaf. This cooperative cheese factory has been owned by the 150 affiliated dairy farmers since 2009. In recent years, “De Graafstroom” has invested heavily in special recipes to make even better cheeses. The result of this is, among other things, the “Oud Dordt” cheese. This cheese recipe has since won the necessary prizes at international cheese inspections such as Global CheeseAward 2017 and World CheeseAward 2017. Oud Dordt is a perfectly naturally matured 48+ cheese with beautiful protein crystals. The taste is spicy, creamy and slightly sweet.
The Oud Dordt 48+ is vacuum-packed and is freshly cut and has a tip of ~350 grams.
This cheese goes very well with a wood-aged red Tempranillo wine such as the CEPA 21 Hito and also tastes delicious with an Italian Primitivo .
