A quality cream sherry is hard to find but Equipo Navazos shows that this does not have to be a problem with his La Bota de Cream 79 "Bota NO", a revision of the previous Botas nr 19 and 38 but bottled eight and five years later respectively. This La Bota de Cream 79 must be around 40 years old and comes from Valdespino where the Oloroso was possibly mixed with 25% sweet Pedro Ximénez a century ago, so the wines have had time to integrate and age together. This has 115 grams of residual sugar. It has a nose of old wine and does not smell sweet at all and has notes of coconut, rusty iron and tree bark. Also the palate is not that sweet and very nicely balanced. The wine is very powerful and concentrated with the PX fully integrated. Only 900 bottles of 0.375 liters are made from the Equipo Navazos, La Bota de Viejo Cream Nº 79
