Description
Champagne Deutz was founded in 1838 and one of the oldest members of the prestigious Syndicat des Grandes Marques. The Deutz champagnes have their own distinct style with a perfect harmony of finesse, elegance, a very fine mousse and complexity. The house honors traditions, but also works with the most modern technologies to maintain this own style. In France, Champagne Deutz is on all wine lists of the 2 and 3 star Michelin restaurants. In the Netherlands too, more and more restaurants are acknowledging the excellent quality of this champagne house.
The key to the distinctive style of the Deutz Brut Champagne Classic is the use of top quality grapes that come from, among others, the best grand cru's in the area around Marne. Almost no other wine producer obtains such a large percentage of grapes from the highest rated vineyards (94 out of 100 points). Deutz Brut Champagne Classic is an assembly of various volumes. Every year a certain amount of reserved wine (20-40%) is added to the assembly, with the aim of giving the champagne an equal level in quality and style.
The Deutz Brut champagne has an elegant, fine mousse. The freshness of the Chardonnay blends nicely with the rich taste of the Pinot Noir into a full-bodied wine with nicely integrated aromas and a silk structure. The wine is nicely round with an intense fruity aftertaste.
In the glass, this dry champagne has an intense golden color and a very fine mousse and is Deutz's signature. The Deutz Champagne Brut smells of white flowers, hawthorn blossoms, aromas of toast, marzipan and ripened fruits such as apples and pears. This Deutz Brut Classic is in a beautiful gift box and has received 90 Parker points.

Based on 2012 and 45% reserve wines of 2011 and a bit of 2010, the white-golden colored NV Brut Classic is very clear and elegant on the nose; it offers bright fruit aromas and fresh lemon flavors, along with herbal aromas. Light, pure and finesse-full on the palate, this is a pretty mineral and refreshing cuvée with good substance in the finish. A delicious aperitif.
