How does this wine taste?
How full and heavy the wine feels in your mouth, like the difference between skimmed milk and cream. More alcohol, sugar and oak ageing make a wine fuller.
How much sugar you taste, from dry to sweet. Fruity is not the same as sweet: a dry wine can taste of ripe fruit.
How fresh and juicy the wine is: acidity makes your mouth water. High acidity tastes lively and refreshing, low acidity soft and round.

Log inThis rosé from the Rheingau shows how good a cooler climate can be for this type of wine. The vineyards are located along the Rhine, where the grapes benefit from warm days and cool nights. This contrast creates ripe fruit with enough tension and freshness – exactly what you want in a rosé.
About Kesseler
Weingut Kesseler is a family business that has been making wine in the Rheingau for generations. They are known for their light, accessible style. No frills, just good wine that suits every moment: The Daily Rosé.
The base is Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir), supplemented with a little Merlot. The grapes are gently pressed so that the wine retains its light colour and fresh flavours. Then everything ferments in stainless steel, which keeps the fruit pure. A short maturation on the fine yeast cells gives just a little more body, without becoming heavy.
Expect a fresh, fruity rosé with aromas of strawberry, raspberry and a hint of citrus. The taste is light, elegant and drinkable, with a fine balance between fruit and acidity. Perfect for a summer day or as an aperitif.

Wine features
