How does this wine taste?
How full and heavy the wine feels in your mouth, like the difference between skimmed milk and cream. More alcohol, sugar and oak ageing make a wine fuller.
The drying, grippy feel on your gums and tongue, as with strong tea. It comes from the skins and seeds of black grapes and from oak, and softens with age.
How much sugar you taste, from dry to sweet. Fruity is not the same as sweet: a dry wine can taste of ripe fruit.
How fresh and juicy the wine is: acidity makes your mouth water. High acidity tastes lively and refreshing, low acidity soft and round.

The aromas of red fruit leap from the glass and the rich flavors fill the mouth. With this wine, Talamonti once again proves their craftsmanship in creating quality wines.
Aging and production of Talamonti Moda Montepulciano D'Abruzzo
Since its founding in 2001 in the Abruzzo region, Talamonti has strived for a perfect balance between grape variety and vineyard. With 45 hectares of vineyards situated near the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea, the winery offers optimal conditions for indigenous grape varieties. The cooling sea breeze ensures that the grapes ripen perfectly. Talamonti wines are produced with respect for nature and modern winemaking techniques.
The unique vineyards of Talamonti
Talamonti's vineyards, situated 300 meters above sea level, cover 45 hectares and consist of stony, calcareous soils. These soils impart a distinctive character to the grapes. The grapes ripen slowly and are only harvested when optimally ripe, entirely by hand to ensure quality. At the winery, the grapes are carefully selected and destemmed. This is followed by controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, after which the Moda Montepulciano D'Abruzzo ages for six months in oak barrels.
The bouquet offers intense aromas of cherries, plums, and raspberries, which are also clearly reflected in the taste. This wine has a good structure, is elegant, and offers pleasant woody notes.
