How does this wine taste?

How full and heavy the wine feels in your mouth, like the difference between skimmed milk and cream. More alcohol, sugar and oak ageing make a wine fuller.

The drying, grippy feel on your gums and tongue, as with strong tea. It comes from the skins and seeds of black grapes and from oak, and softens with age.

How much sugar you taste, from dry to sweet. Fruity is not the same as sweet: a dry wine can taste of ripe fruit.

How fresh and juicy the wine is: acidity makes your mouth water. High acidity tastes lively and refreshing, low acidity soft and round.

A delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Corette, with a very beautiful dark red color and refined aromas of forest fruits and spices (cinnamon, mint, and bay leaf) on the nose. A subtle hint of green pepper is also present, which is so characteristic of a Cabernet. Together with the refined wood notes (cedar and oak), the taste is truly complete. All in all, a complex and very elegant wine whose beautiful flavor lingers for a long time.

After the harvest, the bunches are completely destemmed. Subsequently, the grapes are left to macerate with the skins for a long time to gain length, power, richness, color, and aromas. The wine then remains in stainless steel tanks for 6 months, and a portion of the wine is aged in oak barrels for 6 months for even greater complexity.

This wine tastes perfect with grilled beef or lamb dishes, pepper steak, and pasta.

Harold Hamersma rates this wine an 8.

Fun fact: De Corette wines serve as luxury house wine in many 1/2 and even 3* Michelin restaurants in the Netherlands. Without exception, De Corette offers more than excellent value for money.

Delicious wines from a single grape variety (monocépages) in a clean, accessible, fruity style. These are the Corette wines - really wines to please immediately. At the same time, the Corette wines are not only typical of their grape varieties, but also of their region of origin. The wines are described as: Wines for everyday use, that offer something to hold on to, that you can rely on, because they are always good and offer what you are looking for. Because you are a wine lover, but not necessarily a wine connoisseur. That is why we developed Corette seven years ago. The wines are made by Badet Clément, from Catherine and Laurent Delaunay, a large house that originates from Burgundy, but has also been active in Languedoc-Roussillon and the southern Rhône for a long time.

The Corette wine series has been developed exclusively for the trade and catering industry and currently consists of 8 products, each made from a single grape variety. Much attention has been paid to the appearance of the Corette wines (including labels, bottles and presentation). The Corette series contains wines from the Pays d'Oc. Corette stands for pure and honest wines for every day; wines in which the aroma and taste characteristics of the grape are well expressed. The chic and stylish design ensures the right experience on every table.
