Arinto is part of Riberio-Moser, the collaboration between two great winemakers—Pedro Riberio and Lenz Mozer—with the clear goal of showcasing the beauty of Portuguese white wine. When these two icons get involved, it sends a clear message. This wine was launched in July 2023.

The Ribeiro & Moser Arinto is made entirely from the Arinto grape—a variety native to Portugal. Arinto is highly prized for its ability to produce wines with vibrant acidity and a distinctly refreshing character. Arinto may be descended from the Riesling. It is an important, late-ripening, premium white cultivar. A hallmark of Arinto is its ability to retain its acidity even in the scorching summers.

This Arinto wine is fermented and aged in concrete tanks, with 10% of the wine fermented and aged in 500-liter oak barrels. Ribeiro-Moser is committed to reducing its environmental impact by reducing the weight of its bottles. Numerous reputable studies have proven that reducing the average bottle weight from 570g to 360g has a significant positive impact on the environment. By saving energy and resources, emissions are reduced.

The Ribeiro & Moser Arinto has a light straw yellow color. It has very fine acidity followed by a honeyed finish. The nose offers attractive lemon, green apple, peachy fruitiness, and a hint of minerality. It has a lovely mid-palate body with plenty of bite while maintaining its elegance and balance. This elegant, high-end Arinto has excellent aging potential.

Pedro Ribeiro is the winemaker and general manager of the Herdade do Rocim winery, whose winemaking philosophy is based on minimal intervention. The goal is for each wine to reflect the sense of place and terroir in the bottle. Lenz Moser has always been fascinated by raising the international profile of typical terroir wines and indigenous grapes. He recently achieved this with the New Chapter (Burgundy-style GrĂĽner Veltiner), which has quickly become a global success, receiving rave reviews from the international wine press. This will undoubtedly also be the case with the Ribeiro & Moser Arinto.
