The Laimburg Alto Adige Gewurztraminer comes from the vineyard Moarhof located in Meran/Freiberg at an altitude of 500 meters. After manual picking and fermentation, this wine remains on lees (sur lie) for between 5-6 months and after bottling also receives a few months of bottle aging before being released. The Laimburg Gewurztraminer has a bright yellow color with golden reflections in the glass. On the nose it has delicate aromas of freshly picked roses and exotic fruits. on the palate the wine is powerful and balanced and with a good balance between the fruit and the acids. The altitude of the Alto Adige makes the wine more elegant and fresher than lowland Gewurztraminer and it has a long finish.

The grapes come from the agribusiness vineyards in Laimburg; of about 20 hectares of vineyards in different wine-growing areas of Alto Adige. The vineyards are on the plain or are distributed on hilly and steep slopes with very different soils: moraine and alluvial soils alternate with primary rock and loamy limestone gravel. The grapes grow at altitudes between 200 and 750 meters above sea level in different training systems such as pergola or trellis, depending on the needs of the respective grape variety. In its role as a model winery, the Laimburg winery produces about 90,000 bottles of wine annually, with the main aim of bringing into the glass the varietal character of the approximately 15 typical varieties of the province.

The diversity of grape varieties in Alto Adige is also reflected in the range of wines produced at Laimburg Winery; in addition, a wide variety of grape varieties are tested at different altitudes to determine the ideal vineyard locations. In addition to the classic South Tyrolean grape varieties, Laimburg Winery is also increasingly testing new or interesting grape varieties from around the world (e.g. Tannat, Petit Verdot, Incrocio Manzoni and new varieties such as Solaris and Cabernet Cortis) for cultivation and vinification in South Tyrol. The top line wines of Laimburg  are of a very high quality and are among the finest available in Alto Adige. Beautiful wines with good acidity that makes the typical beautiful aging possible.
