2022 Groot Parys Die Tweede Droom Wellustig Chenin Blanc

This white wine is a great pure 100% Chenin Blanc coming from a beautiful old vineyard (>40 years old) with a very low yield with enormous potential. In 2019, the well-known winemaker and vineyard specialist Elizma Visser (also the winemaker of Olifantsberg ) became heavily involved in both the vineyard and made the wine and Elizma's hand is clearly evident in the wine. Complex, longer lasting and above all letting nature take its course in a healthy old vineyard.

Elizma has used all her winemaking skills to make the most complex wine. That of course starts with great grapes, from 38-year-old vines. This Groot Parys Die Tweede Droom Lustig Chenin Blanc is a barrel selection, more wood influence and matured longer. No batonnage. After about 18 months of maturing, the wine has gone into the bottle and is now available to enjoy! In the glass, the Voluptuous Chenin Blanc has a sparkling golden yellow color with nose notes of melon, apricot, vanilla, cinnamon, hazelnut, spicy and white fruit. In the mouth it is sultry, full and juicy, with vanilla notes, dried fruit and remains present for a very long time. This wine is perfect for hearty, spicy dishes with white meat. Firm white fish, grilled or fried. Vegetablequiche. Lightly mature to mature cheese.
