Description

Château Gloria boasts a 50-hectare vineyard with deep "gravels" created by the sediments of the Gironde River. True St. Julien wine enthusiasts know this cru as one of the finest, unclassified wines from St. Julien. Thanks in part to its consistently high quality, this cru is now a member of the "Union des Grands Crus," with the added benefit of remaining affordable.

The Château Gloria is composed of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon , 35% Merlot , 9% Petit Verdot , and 6% Cabernet Franc , aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, 40% new and 60% one-year-old. In the glass, the wine has a deep garnet red color. The nose reveals fresh fruit, plums, cherries, dark chocolate with a hint of tobacco, bay leaves, and lavender. The palate is medium-bodied, elegant, and savory on the palate with many layers and a beautiful finish.

Saint-Julien is one of the most famous red wines from the Bordeaux region. The appellation comprises wines from the Saint-Julien-Beychevelle commune in the Médoc and covers an area of 3.5 to 4 km². It is located approximately 10 km north of Margaux on the Gironde estuary and borders Pauillac to the north.
