2021 Redheads Harmonie Rox Coonawarra Chardonnay

From the southern corner of South Australia we find the Redheads Harmonie Rox Chardonnay which lives mainly in a world dominated by the red wines. This Harmonie Rox comes from the Coonawarra appellation very famous as the place for the best Cabernet Sauvignon in Australia. Surprisingly, Coonawarra is even cooler than Bordeaux and Coonawarra offers almost ideal growing conditions for wine grapes. Terra Rossa, named for its red color caused by iron oxide, provides excellent drainage and is widely regarded as a crucial part of Coonawarra's success as a wine-producing area, including a place where the Chardonnay grape has a rush of Burgundy style. elegant, nice acidity, nice storage potential and can age well

The Chardonnay grapes come from the eponymous single vineyard Harmony Rox 2021. It is a very captivating Chardonnay located in Coonawarra which is a cool climate region situated on the same latitude as the Yarra Valley which is renowned for producing world class Chardonnay. However, the Coonawarra offers a limestone bed (like Burgundy) which adds to Harmony's vibrant and delicious taste. The Harmony Rox Chardonnay grapes are fermented and aged in French oak barrels and part in stainless steel to preserve freshness.

Delicious notes of white peach and nectarine with hints of mandarin. Elegant, dry and complex with a citrus mandarin finish. This is a very fine Chardonnay with an excellent price/quality ratio. Perfect with a cheese board with dried apricots and honey.
