Description
The Chardonnay grapes for the Napa Cut Monterey Cut Chardonnay are harvested from two different vineyards in the Monterey County appellation, one in the heart of the Carmel Valley and the other on the east side of Santa Lucia Highlands. The wine matures for 12 months in French oak, which gives the Chardonnay a round mouthfeel with notes of brioche, complemented by notes of ripe stone fruit. These richer notes are balanced by well-integrated acidity. The Monterey Cut is an elegant Chardonnay with a controlled wood aging, perfect acidity, a nice alcohol percentage of 13.5% and a textured palate and the good structure makes it clear why Monterey Chardonnay is so popular.
