2021 Domaines Ott Clos Mireille Blanc de Blancs
Clos Mireille is one of the rare crus of the Côtes de Provence. The domain covers 53ha of which only 40 are planted with vineyards. The domain is ideally located on a slate terrace that plunges down to the Mediterranean near Brégançon. The domain dates back to the 18th century and has been owned by the Ott family since 1936. It is known as the birthplace of the best white wine in the region, mainly Sémillon, supplemented with Vermentino. This superior white wine has aromas of fresh apricot, wild flowers, honey and a touch of pepper. The long balanced finish is supported by some oiliness and smoothness, with a return of the fruit on a silken canvas.
The vineyards of Clos Mireille are located on the hills that run into the Mediterranean Sea and have the unique Cru Classé "Blanc de Côte". The plots where the Blanc de Blancs are grown lie against the coast and end on the beach. The grapes are hand-picked and rigorously selected upon entry to the cellars. Then follows a slow fermentation. The wine ages for a minimum of 8 months in oak barrels. Unique, scarce and so beautiful.
FACT: The wine is in our conditioned Wine Warehouse and if you come to pick up the wine you will also receive a nice discount. We are almost next to the national road with plenty of parking space. Click here for address
