The Mazzei 2020 Concerto di Fonterutoli is a blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon from a cool vineyard at an altitude of 350 meters. It is surrounded on three sides by dense forests. The role of the forest, especially in the Chianti hills, is increasingly appreciated as we face hot summers and climate change. The Concerto is meaty and juicy with black cherries, plums, cardamom spice and grilled rosemary. In the mouth flavors of chocolate, hazelnut, blackberry and cherry. The robust and black fruit profile of the wine is an ideal accompaniment to meat on the grill.
