To make the best wines in the world, the best vineyards have to be worked and the most beautiful grapes used
and matured in the best oak barrels and this wine is marketed under the name Torcia Napa Valley. The grapes are aged for 24 months in a mix of French & American oak, after which the wine is aged for at least 6 months in the bottle. An average of 5,000 bottles are made of the Torcia, of which, as with so many top Napa wines, more than 80% remains in America. The Rutherford Ranch Napa Valley Torcia has an intense and vibrant purple color. Aromas of anise, cherry and lavender. On the palate notes of figs and candied plums. Young tannins provide liveliness and a broad texture.
