The Celler Can Blau project aims to develop a line of high-quality wines from indigenous grape varieties (Syrah, Monastrell, Grenache, Cargigan). This cuvee shows the hand of Australian winemaker Sarah Morris - known for the famous indigenous blends.

The El Nen de Celler from Can Blau is a young red wine made from Garnacha, Cariñena, Tempranillo & Syrah. The grapes from Garnacha vineyards planted on slate soils – also called Llicorella, together with the Cariñena vines grown on clay soils and the Syrah & Tempranillo vines on limestone soils, have been harvested on separate dates and developed separately. Once the different wines were obtained, a blending process was carried out to obtain this very pleasant fruity wine. You will often see this wine, especially in bars and restaurants in the Barcelona region and on the coast, because it is very popular there and therefore more difficult to obtain outside Spain. In the glass, the El Nen de Celler has a cherry red color with a garnet-colored cast on the edge of the glass. Intense aromas of red fruit, pleasant entry into the mouth with notes of black fruit and a light mineral touch. Long and persistent in the middle of the mouth with great acidity, resulting in a full feeling in the mouth. The price/quality of this wine is unbeatable and it is a pity that we, as importers of Juan Gil, only have so little of this delicious wine.
