We can offer these gems directly from the wineries at very attractive prices (well below market), often wines that are no longer available or unaffordable. So, the wines come directly from the wineries and haven't traveled halfway around the world in questionable circumstances.

history of château les carmes haut‑brion and region
Château les Carmes Haut-Brion exudes the tradition of Pessac-Léognan. The estate, one of the oldest in Bordeaux, is run by the de Fumé/Fiévet family, who combine ancient resources with modern precision. The loamy, sandy soil, with exceptional drainage, produces wines with robustness and nuance. The microclimate—warm days alternating with cool nights—ensures slow and balanced ripening, essential for the refined style of this appellation.
2010 Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion: vintage and vinification
2010 was an exceptional year in Bordeaux. Château les Carmes created a wine with tight concentration and remarkable refinement. The main grape is Cabernet Sauvignon, supplemented with Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Franc. Lower yields created additional intensity. Fermentation took place in controlled temperature tanks. This was followed by aging in oak barrels (approximately 18 to 20 months), some of which were new, which ensured a balance between terroir expression and subtle oak.
sight, smell and taste of the 2010
The color is deep ruby red with a purple rim, powerful for a fifteen-year-old wine. The nose reveals dark cherry, graphite, cedar, and a soft tobacco note. The palate is impressively structured: firm tannins, precise acidity, and a long finish with nuances of blackcurrant, dark chocolate, and mineral undertones.
maturation development after fifteen years
Because this vintage is over 15 years old, it's fascinating to see how the wine has developed. The tannins have softened, the fruit has transformed into more elegant compote-like notes, and nuances of leather, nuts, and earthy accents subtly emerge. Each bottle is a story of balance between maturity and maintaining expression.
value for sommelier, consumer and investor
For the sommelier, this wine is a magnificent example of mature Bordeaux with depth. For the discerning consumer, it offers refinement, elegance, and balance. And for investors, it represents rare value: limited availability, a highly regarded vintage, and long-term aging potential, combined with exclusive distribution through Hidden Cellar.

Made of 45% Cabernet Franc, 45% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet colored 2010 Les Carmes Haut-Brion gives up notes of baked blackberries, blackcurrants, black raspberries and cedar chest with hints of baking spices, black olives, pencil lead and Marmite toast. Full-bodied, the generously fruited palate has a solid backbone of grainy tannins and bold freshness supporting all that tightly-packed brawn, finishing with great length and purity. Still incredibly youthful, I suspect this wine has a lot more to give in the years to come!
