Domaine du Pegau
Domaine du Pegau
The Domaine du Pégau is located in the legendary Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine appellation in the southern Rhône valley, about twenty kilometers from Avignon. The internationally renowned winery was founded in 1987 by the Féraud family, but looks back on a winemaking tradition that dates back to 1670. At that time, olives and cherries were grown in addition to grapes. Over time, the family focused on growing vines, selling the grapes to trading houses. At the end of the twentieth century, the resourceful daughter Laurence Féraud suggested to her parents that they start making their own wine. Since then, daughter Laurence and father Paul have managed the estate.
