Alois Lageder
Alois Lageder
The Alois Lageder Italian winery in Alto Adige consists of 50 hectares of its own vineyards, managed on the basis of biodynamic principles. The holistic approach of winery Alois Lageder is reflected in the winemaking activities, the long-term relationships with numerous grape growers and their ambition to create awareness for an agriculture geared to nature. Alto Adige is located almost directly below the Brenner Pass, in the narrow valley that formed the Adige River in the Dolomites massif. Further south, the valley widens and the region becomes Trentino. Wine production in Alto Adige takes place on the slopes of the mountains, with vineyards sometimes reaching an altitude of 1000 meters. In Trentino, the vineyards are more in the plains and lower. Trentino and Alto Adige are 2 areas in the northeast of Italy, which are located below each other. They are often mentioned in the same breath as if it were one area, but the contrasts could hardly be greater. Alto Adige has only belonged to Italy since 1919 and is almost non-Italian, while Trentino is typically Italian in everything.
