Rabigato

The Rabigato is a white grape variety from the north of Portugal and is almost exclusively found in the Douro area. This strain is early maturing - which means that it can sometimes be harvested as early as the end of August/beginning of September. No wonder given the sometimes extremely high temperature in the area. This grape is often used in a blend, because the acidity of this grape is very high.

How do you taste wine from the Rabigato grape?

The white Rabigato grape gives fresh white wines with nice lime acidity in the taste and often a good minerality.
