Manto Negro

Manto negro is a red Spanish wine grape grown in the Balearic Islands. Today, Manto negro can be found almost exclusively on the island of Mallorca with 320 hectares, making it the most widely planted grape variety on the island. It represents more than 20% of the total vineyard in production. Although the vine has been planted all over the island, it seems to be more successful in the rocky soils of the western region of Binissalem.
