Touriga Franca

Touriga Franca is a red grape variety that is considered the main ingredient for red port. A high yield ensures that this grape is grown more than the Touriga Nacional, which is better suited for port. The grape is mainly found in the Douro Valley in Portugal. The Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional grapes are often blended in Portugal. Not only in the Port, but also in dry wines from the Douro valley.
