Gros Manseng
Gros Manseng
The Gros Manseng grapes come from the French region of Sud-Ouest, located just south of Bordeaux in the Gascony wine region. The grape is not only used for dry but also for sumptuous sweet wines. The Gros Manseng grape is used in the regions of Béarn, Pacherenc, Tursan, Vin de pays of the Côtes de Gascogne and the typical aperitif from the Gers, the floc de Gascogne. Gros manseng is often used for the dry Jurançon sec. It is a more yielding grape variety than its little brother, the Petit Manseng.
