Trincadeira
Trincadeira, also called Tinta Amarela in the Douro and Alentejo, is cultivated throughout Portugal. Trincadeira is easily recognizable in summer by the fresh green color of the leaves, which are not bothered by the strong rays of the sun. Difficult grape variety, very sensitive to bacteria in a humid climate. Does very well in Beira Interior because of its Mediterranean climate.
