Description
This olive oil 'Olio di Oliva' from Raineri is composed of refined olive oil and virgin olive oil. It is a 100% Italian oil containing only olive oil that has undergone a refining process and oils obtained directly from olives.
The story of Raineri Olio began in 1910 in Imperia (Liguria). Leonardo Raineri dreamed of opening a small shop to enhance the great heritage of the Ligurian land, olives. A dream that has been passed on for generations: Leonardo's son, Dr Antonio, takes charge and develops it further, thanks to new and skilled techniques for processing and producing Extra Virgin oil. Under the leadership of Pierluigi Rinaldi, the company continues to expand: in 1999 Raineri opens a new factory in Passo di Sarola, near the old and glorious Acquarone oil mill, and two years later it moves to the Ligurian hinterland.
In 2010, the Raineri Agricultural Company came to life, a reference point in the production of high-quality extra virgin olive oil: a reality that integrates all the main stages of the production process of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO), from the cultivation of olives to the harvest, processing and storage.
Raineri a reference for high quality oils and balsamic. From the extra virgin olive oil to the 100% Italian EVOO, Raineri chooses only the best from nature and when the best land and sea products meet, the taste really comes to the fore, creating traditional yet creative and innovative specialties. Raineri is a sustainable company that is able to combine tradition and innovation and is fully specialized in High quality Grandcru-worthy olive oil.

EVOO - EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
The highest official quality standard "EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL" (EVOO). The International Olive Oil Council has no higher classification than the EVOO. EVOO oil is made from a specific oil variety so that the unique taste of the olive grove, but also the typical taste of the olive species used is preserved. Arbequina, for example, tastes essentially different from Picual. Another difference is that unlike industrial oil, you can also choose the time of harvest: early harvested olives produce oil with a much fruitier taste, which is highly valued by chefs. But the big industry has little influence on the time of harvest compared to the smaller producers.
And a 3rd very important difference: the EU BIO Certification guarantees consumers that there should be no residues of harmful chemicals or heavy metals in the oil. Today that means that every bottle of BIO EVOO can be perfectly traced back to the original olive grove. But the big olive oil industry is simply not capable of this.
