The Malvasia grape
To get straight to the point. There are few grapes as complicated as the Malvasia grape. A white grape from Greece that produces aromatic wines there, but also produces wines with an individual character in Spain (Valencia, Zamora and the Canary Islands). Malvasia is also found on the Portuguese island of Madeira, where it is the most important grape variety.
What does wine from the Malvasia grape taste like?
Characteristic is the spicy scent of musk and apricot. The smell is the most characteristic of this wine, but the taste also has sweet, aromatic and soft characteristics.
