The French Champagne and wine group Vranken Pommery originated in 1976 when Belgian Paul Francois Vranken launched his own champagne brand. It is a major player in the sparkling wine sector, producing several brands. The Pommery brand has been affiliated with this group since 2002. Since then, the group has been fully called Vranken Pommery Monopole. It is the largest brand with high-quality cuvées. Pommery wines are primarily found in supermarkets and are the more commercial brands, while the Vranken versions are the more high-end quality versions—always made from their own grapes and vineyards.

The grapes come from three Grand Cru vineyards: Avize, Cramant, and Mesnil-sur-Oger. This results in a highly complex champagne, yet refined and elegant. The grapes are carefully selected to achieve the highest possible quality. A second selection takes place in the winery before pressing. The vinification process is monitored step by step, allowing for any necessary adjustments.

The Cuvée Diamant Blanc de Blancs has a pale satin yellow color, crystal clear, and with elusive green reflections. A breathtaking nose, elegant and complex, with floral notes of acacia blossoms. Then, fruity notes of orange emerge, and finally aromas of dried fruit, fresh almonds, and hazelnuts. The palate is ample, generous, and complex, with good vibrancy and flavors of citrus, pink grapefruit, and mandarin. It is dominated by freshness and has excellent length. The perlage is remarkably delicate.

FACT: The bottle for this Vranken Diamant Champagne was specially designed and sized to fit comfortably in the hand. Plaster molds were made for this bottle three times before the Vranken House was satisfied with the result.
