From Orschwiller and a vintage with generous ripeness, the dark ruby-colored 2020 Pinot Noir from Nicolas Laugher offers deep, intense and aromatic dark fruit intertwined with floral aromas on the elegant and seductive nose. Silky, round and still with a tiny bit of CO2, this is a mouth-filling, bone-dry and finely tannic Pinot from a viticulture in conversion to organic. The wine has structure, grip, intensity and a certain power and is full-hearted Alsatian. The maceration took only a week, and apparently the wine hadn't been moved or racked more than necessary. It is a spicy and peppery Pinot with dark berry and floral aromas also on the finish. 13.6% alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted in February 2023
