Description
The delicate fine taste nuances of the Pinot Gris from Wijngoed Thorn are formed by the special terroir in this region which is mainly characterized by the gravel in the subsoil. The Pinot Gris has a clear dark yellow color with a beautiful gastronomic aftertaste with notes of honey and ripe fruit.
Wijngoed Thorn, located in the picturesque Limburg village of Thorn, is known for its high-quality wines. They now cover over 7 hectares of vineyards. On 10 January 2018, the European Commission formally recognised the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) of the wine-growing region 'Maasvallei Limburg'.
Soil
The vineyard is situated on an old arm of the Meuse and consists of clay, sand and at some depth transitioning into gravel.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats.

Very suitable with asparagus or fish dishes, salads, fish and white meat.
