Description
In 2001, Wijnhoeve De Kleine Schorre saw the light of day in Zeeland. In collaboration with the renowned Luxembourg wine company Cep d'Or, a strict selection of grapes was made. The choice of grape varieties is based on a number of criteria. One of these is that the wines must seamlessly match the good that Zeeland has had to offer for years, namely the Zeeuwse Zilte Zaligheden. These salty delights consist of: mussels, Oosterschelde lobster, oysters, flatfish, sea lavender and samphire. The choice of grape varieties therefore fell on Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Rivaner and Auxerrois. Currently, 42,000 vines have already been planted. The vineyard has grown to 10 ha and is therefore one of the largest vineyards in the Netherlands.
In the glass, the Kleine Schorre Auxerrois has a clear straw yellow color. In the nose, the wine is floral with fresh white fruit such as apple and pear with a light spiciness. In the mouth, the freshness and fine acidity are noticeable. Deliciously juicy and ripe, mouth-filling, apple, lively and invigorating.
The Auxerrois is an excellent aperitif and of course goes perfectly with seafood, such as mussels with dill, salads, fish terrines.

Wijnhuis
In 2001 Wijnhoeve De Kleine Schorre saw the light of Zeeland. A strict selection of grapes has been made in collaboration with the renowned Luxembourg wine company Cep d'Or. The choice of grape varieties is based on a number of criteria. One is that the wines must seamlessly connect to the good that Zeeland has long had to offer, namely the Zeeland Salty Beatitudes.
These salty blisses consist of: mussels, the Oosterschelde lobster, oysters, flatfish, sea lavender and samphire. The choice of grape varieties has therefore fallen on the Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Rivaner and Auxerrois.
The Vineyard
Currently, 42,000 vines are already planned. The vineyard has grown to 10 ha, making it one of the largest vineyards in the Netherlands. In the barn of the Wijnhoeve, the cellar and the test domain are housed. When it is time for the harvest, the Wijnhoeve is dependent on volunteers to pick the grapes. The grapes are processed with the utmost care in the cellar on the grounds.
Friends of the Wijnhoeve
Wijnhoeve De Kleine Schorre has been built by six enterprising Zeeland gentlemen into a flourishing Zeeland company. It has a special structure. In addition to the five shareholders, 25 certificate holders are also involved in the Wijnhoeve. Moreover, the Wijnhoeve has an extensive network at its disposal. This is the result of the possibility to also lease vines for a certain period of time.
Wijnhoeve De Kleine Schorre is located in the typical Zeeland ring village of Dreischor on the island of Schouwen-D®uivenland. With her authentic black tarred barn from 1735, she owns one of the oldest barns in Dreischor.
