2021 Baglio del Cristo di Campobello Terre Siciliane CDC Rosso

The Baglio del Cristo di Campobello C'D'C' Rosso comes from the Italian Sicily. Baglio del Cristo is now seen as one of the best wineries in Sicily, where Sicily is currently seen as a strongly emerging Italian wine region. In 2000, the Bonetta brothers started the first plantations of vines in Agrigento. The family wanted to make their dream come true, to make wines of the highest quality. This worked out quite well, in 2009 the wines were put on the market and immediately won prizes.

The vineyards are located on a hilly terrain, at an altitude between 230 and 260 meters above sea level. The vinification with maceration on the skins takes place for 10 - 15 days at a controlled temperature. The wine stays in stainless steel tanks for 6 months and then another six months in the bottle before it becomes available on the market. The CDC stands for Cristo di Campobello and is a blend of Nero d'Avola, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. It is a pleasant wine with small red fruit, sour cherries and forest fruits. The wine is wonderfully spicy with delicious silky tannins. Well balanced, an ideal wine with a pizza, BBQ, red meat or with a drink with a cheese board. 91/100 Sucking
