2022 Baglio del Cristo di Campobello Adenzia Bianco

The Baglio del Cristo di Campobello C'D'C' Rosso comes from the Italian Sicily. Baglio del Cristo is now seen as one of the best wineries in Sicily, where Sicily is currently seen as a strongly emerging Italian wine region. In 2000, the Bonetta brothers started the first plantations of vines in Agrigento. The family wanted to make their dream come true, to make wines of the highest quality. This worked out quite well, in 2009 the wines were put on the market and immediately won prizes.

The Adenzia Bianco is a blend of the typical Sicilian grapes de grillo & insolia. They harvest manually and with low yields. The vineyards are located on a hilly terrain, at an altitude between 230 and 260 meters above sea level. After de-aging, the temperature of the grapes is brought back to 8-10ºC for maceration. This is a Free flow wine or a vin de goutte' (free-run wine; leak wine, wine that has not been pressed, but has spontaneously been released under its own weight and has gone
flow. This is in contrast to press wine (vin de presse) which, due to pressing force, has a higher percentage of acids and tannins. The Adenzia stays 'sur lie' on its own lees for 3 months

The Adenzia Bianco is a soft, rounded, complex wine with a delicate taste, filled with shades of black currants, spices but elegant with velvety tannins. This Adenzia is delicious to drink as a standalone glass, but also excellent with white meat such as chicken and of course delicious with grilled or fried fish.
