Description
Château Poesia 2019 is a beautiful representative of the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, located in the right bank of Bordeaux. This winery, owned by Hélène Garcin-Lévêque and Patrice Lévêque, is known for its terroir-driven wines and traditional winemaking methods. The estate covers approximately 9 hectares of vineyards on the clay and limestone soils of Saint-Émilion, which contributes to the unique expression of their wines. The wine is a blend of 70% Merlot - 30% Cabernet Franc
Features of the 2019 Vintage:
- Blend : The 2019 Château Poesia is mainly composed of Merlot, supplemented with a smaller percentage of Cabernet Franc. This composition ensures a balanced and complex wine with a lot of depth.
- Tasting notes : This vintage is characterised by its rich and concentrated fruit aromas such as blackcurrant, plum and ripe cherry, supported by subtle notes of cedar, vanilla and a hint of spice. On the palate the wine is full and structured with silky tannins and a long, mineral finish.
- Vintage 2019 : This was an excellent vintage for Bordeaux, with a long growing season that allowed the grapes to ripen perfectly. The summer was hot and dry, but the cool nights preserved freshness and beautiful acidity in the wine.
- Maturation : The wine matures for 18 months in French oak barrels, some of which are new. This gives the wine extra complexity and a refined wood influence, without dominating the fruit.
Château Poesia 2019 is a wine that already impresses, but will continue to develop and refine over the coming years. It is also a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru with a very attractive price-position. Highly recommended
