Triennes
Triennes
Domaine de Triennes is a wine estate founded by two famous Burgundy houses: Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Domaine Dujac. With their world-famous domains they reached the absolute top in the wine field and they went looking for a new challenge. Together with a businessman from Paris, they went on an adventure in the South of France, where they discovered the Domaine du Logis de Nans in the Var, east of Aix-en-Provence, with its gently sloping south-facing slopes. They saw the cool microclimate and the clay and limestone soils as ideal for viticulture. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 400 meters and are planted with grape varieties that may not be typical of the region, but that best suit the terroir found. The estate was renamed Triennes, a reference to Triennia, the triennial festival around the Roman wine god Bacchus. Their goal has been achieved: to make wines in Provence with the same precision and finesse as in Burgundy, but fortunately for different prices!
