He immediately visited the cellars of bodegas Rey Fernando de Castilla where he was warmly received by director Jan Pettersen from Norway. You can't think of a better reference… Jan Pettersen, one of the largest sherry ambassadors, took over Bodegas Rey Fernando de Castilla in 1999 after working for sherry giant Osborne for 15 years. He quickly turned the bodega, originally founded in 1837, into an absolute top producer of sherry and brandies. Rey Fernando de Castilla is a sherry bodega that makes only prestigious and premium sherry. The wines are not blended (!) And, for example, cold stabilization is omitted. Everything is about preserving the subtle and pure aromas of these distinct wines.
