Chateau Sociando-Mallet
Chateau Sociando-Mallet
Sociando-Mallet is located in the commune of Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne, north of Pauillac on one of the top gravel terroir in the Médoc. The vineyards dominate the banks of the Gironde. Jean Gautreau, a gifted youth top tennis player (Roland Garros), has been the discoverer and owner of this magnifique château since 1969. Started with 5 hectares and now grown to 83 hectares. Within 2-3 years it became clear that Sociando Mallet was entering a top terroir. Classified as Haut medoc, this château can rival the best cru classes. Jean, now 90 years old, has now handed over the sceptor to his only daughter Sylvie, who knows the vineyards (her garden) like the back of her hand. She breathes and smells Sociando Mallet. Quality is once again guaranteed for the future.
